Well, considering that today I was bereft of all those mmmm wonderful endorphins AND I moved my fireplace All.By.Myself this morning AND the plumbers (a whole gaggle) showed up before 9 a.m. AND they stayed all day AND they broke the empty bottle of yesterday's bubbly AND they kept using my bathroom AND AND AND....
You get the idea. Oh, wait, I left out the hammering, drilling, pounding and that peculiar smell from an acetylene torch. Oh, and yelling through the hole in the ceiling to the one working one floor above. Yes, all in my place, while I hid away in the bedroom with my litre of water and a handful of chocolate bars, chanting "please go away soon" over and over again.
Did it work? Of course not. They stayed until past 5:30. Well, they were thorough. OTOH, there are all these huge holes in the ceiling. And my phone line is in the twilight zone.
So, is it any wonder that my head is pounding and my eye is throbbing? Of course not.
So that's all I have to say for today. I'm certainly hoping for a much quieter day tomorrow.
