I think she had chimichuri sauce.

What's chimichuri sauce? Oh, well, that's at the END of this post. First, the rest of my day.

I'd set the alarm for 8 as ALL water was being shut off at 9. Eek! So I first washed all the dishes, then put water on the stove for boiling eggs, along with a pot IN the sink full of cold water; also a pot of hot soapy water in the bathroom for washing hands. And then I looked at the time and shrieked. It was 8:44 and I hadn't had a shower yet. Obviously NO time for washing my hair, so I had possibly the fastest shower (for me, that is) in recent history ... 13 minutes.

Then I cooked my soft-hard-boiled eggs to go with the leftover huevos rancheros sauce John had made last night. Mmmmm. And, then, I fell apart and needed to crawl into bed for a nap. It was also SO cold in the place and I couldn't tell if the heat was on or not. Shivering is so not fun. When I woke up, I had my first soup portion of my meals: it was cream of chicken and veg. Except it wasn't really cream. There were pieces of breast meat and whole peas and carrots. It was good. At least it made me feel warmer, as it was cold, dark and rainy outside.

Grrrrr at the weather which forced me to put on SOCKS and BOOTS and a COAT. Tonight's menu Chez Brian was an Argentinian recipe of grilled steak with Chimichuri sauce. What's that? It was really easy to make, whisking together red wine vinegar, olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper AND a cup of finely chopped parsley. WOW!!! Brian served the grilled steak as well as a side dish of pinto beans, cumin, garlic, grape tomatoes on a chipotle and red pepper tortilla. Not rolled up, but flat, because there was a lot of food. So much that I got to bring leftovers home.

Before I left, he affixed my outer space and ATLANTIS skins to my cellphone. Yay!!!!! Even though I had to wait nearly 30 minutes for my driver, I was home safely. And I needed a nap, especially after such a yummy meal. But I'm up now, so who knows what trouble I'll get into during the night? Talk to everyone tomorrow. Nighty-night, all.
