Whoa. No wonder I dozed off unexpectedly. It's been "Grand Helenka Station" here for most of the day. After I woke up before the alarm (yay), I booked my rides for getting my hair done. My groceries were delivered early (11) and I was getting all hot putting them away. I asked S. for a favour and that's when she told me oh, by the way, the electrician will be by at nebulous o'clock (mid day) to finish installing the light fixture. Eeeeeek. I have to put the groceries away which I did (except that I cheated with a few). Then I semi-tidied up the place after which I sat down to catch my breath while enjoying my sushi lunch accompanied by two glasses of rose.
Grumpy had followed the groceries into my space and was currently sleeping - in the middle of my bed. Poor buddy, not only was he so comfy today, he'd also spent the whole night two days ago, though on the couch. Grumpy wasn't even disturbed when the electrician came. It was a semi-simple fix and just required a judicious application of a screwdriver. After he left, I asked S. whether she could come open the pantry with me (we each took a door), to see whether I was ::whispers:: infestation-free. She's got full eyesight and said everything looked okay. Whew. So, tomorrow, I'll be removing and reorganizing (and recataloguing on my computer) all of my food items. I feel tired already. She also removed Grumpy at my request. Bye, buddy.
I'd been up for hours and it was still early in the day. I'd emailed my friend from my blind group about my sound machine and sent her a link. Then I watched Dragons' Den and was fascinated and hopeful about a system that apparently strengthens the joints and muscles immediately though temporarily (as far as I can tell) ... using physics. FIVE Dragons were intrigued and offered a joint (no pun intended) deal. WOW! I'll try to watch again with S, to see what she thinks - as she could also benefit from it ... whenever it actually comes on the market. ::crosses fingers:: Because my spine was the big loser today. Sigh.
Managed to stay awake long enough to watch the news and game shows. Then I read a little ... and apparently dozed a lot. Sent more emails: to church-John about "a moose on the loose" (for realz) north-east of the city and also to Brian about my booking times tomorrow. Anyway, I'd better tiptoe back to bed and trust my handy sound machine.
