The good: It's Sunday, always a pleasure (at least I try to keep it that way).
Are you kidding me: Waking up just a couple hours after going to bed with my torso in torque. This time the spasms had already bypassed the back and were attacking my sternum and ribs. OMF Hell. Somehow, I managed to get some more sleep, but it wasn't restful.
The bad: It's cold out, but at least it was sunny.
The mostly good: A fascinating service, even though I was doing my best not to throw up or keel over. Rev. Jeff's focus was on food and his fave time of year, right now. He spoke of the difference between thankfulness (considering it's TG weekend) vs gratefulness.
The unexpected: I'd arrived before the 9 a.m. service was finished. It's almost the same as the 11 a.m. but without any soloist or singing. So I was enchanted to hear our new music director at the piano playing the customary Communion hymns but with such delicacy and tenderness. One of my Choir friends, Louise, was getting over a nasty cold, so she joined me in the front pew. It was nice having company.
The aggravating: When I got home, I hoped to have a nap. I tried to set my phone alarm and it defied me - again. It told me I had exceeded the number of alarms. Uh … stupid phone? I cancelled ALL alarms. How can you cay I can't set any more? Sigh. Anyway, I just happened to wake up at the time I'd wanted.
The entertaining: I finally watched last week's epi of The Rookie
