How can this be, blondie? You have book club on the third Wednesday. Well. book club was there, but I wasn't, because Zoom outwitted me. The outgoing message had changed (it's now bilingual) and refused to allow me to join, insisting that the first zero of the security code Did. Not. Exist! Arrgghh. I tried calling in repeatedly, then finally had to give up. So I returned to reading my more sensational book. But I was upset and bereft of being able to engage in a lively discussion.
Luckily, the leader (Peter_ emailed me saying that I had been missed' he volunteered to chat with me tomorrow about the book and how the discussion had progressed. I'd really wanted to participate, even though much about the book (Yiddish for Pirates) had been aggravating - with the author cramming as many Yiddish expressions and jokes as possible.
Just to make my day complete (yes, I'm attempting to be sarcastic), I still couldn't get a proper answer from the grocery delivery place I found. Luckily, S. is going shopping tomorrow morningm, so I'm making a small shopping list for her. Now I'm looking forward to celery hearts and pineapple as well as other fun foods.
Engaged in the usual pursuits of lying in bed and watching some TV. And that's all she wrote tonight.
