A few yays in my day.

* Such as sleeping in. Oh, definite yay.
* Such as actually washing my hair (with real shampoo). It feels good. I just wish I didn't need to wear hairspray when I pull my hair back into a ponytail. I guess I'll have to wait until the shortish bits grow out longer. Still, it's frustrating to have hair that won't behave. Every so often I get the urge to chop it all off. I remember attending one con looking like Sela (Tasha Yar's AU Romulan daughter though my outfit was pure glitzy dabo girl), including the upside-down pyramid bangs. My stylist couldn't believe I wanted something so drastic. But, now, I'd need to get it cut way more often ... so not a solution for me.
* Such as getting mail from the Foundation Fighting Blindness. Our former leader used to mistakenly call it "Federation" and I'm having trouble kicking the habit, especially when I think of them wearing superhero costumes. That's reinforced in a SF&F way as they're hosting a conference called VisionQuest in November. I may attend.
* Such as a shortened nap which I didn't mind so much because the reward was being awake for a lovely soaking rain. More please. And all the crickets came out after.

Visionquest. It does sound like a computer game.

Does this mean the hot weather has broken at last?

Very glad for all your "yay".

I like the idea of your super-heros "FFB" and VisionQuest as a sci-fi con (or is it a sci-fi show?)

It always amazes me how much effort people put into costumes at the sci-fi cons. Some of them could be mistaken for extras from the show!
