Yes, of course, I made that word up. But there's no substitute for Sunday in my calendar. Mind you, it was still bitterly cold, though sunny. I had the driver from a couple weeks ago who used to attend church in ye olden days. She's really nice and supportive. As I was the only passenger, she got me to church really early so I could do the social thing.
As much as I've been feeling so overwhelmed by my current worries, being at church and interacting with good people gave me hope, help (keeping that one sekrit for now) and healing (which was really necessary as I was getting very hoarse which would have interfered with my ability to anoint and serve). Church-John made me laugh as he was talking to a mutual friend but couldn't remember what he'd done or where he'd been yesterday. Duh!
Our other wonderful friend, Maurice, slipped effortlessly into the pew. So he's still suffering from temporary husbandlessness because of the visa holdup. Mind you, as much as I want him to be at Rev. Tom's side, I'm still selfish enough to want him to be around HERE. As Brent was still away for his mother's funeral, Rev. Kevin both preached and presided. The sermon/lesson was terrific and worked perfectly for my blessings. I was still feeling the positive effects of church well into the afternoon, as I sat in front of my computer - with a SMILE on my face!
However, the intense cold INDOORS dragged me down to reality, so I retreated to the warmth of my bed and took a nap. Unfortunately, I was a bit sick when I woke up. ::sighs:: Did I overdo it with the grapes? Eek! Sometimes too much of a good thing isn't a good thing. ::sighs some more and sends a calming message to a rumbly tumbly::
