Oh, this is SO me.

The ballad, I; I shun the world,
   Its bustle and its noise,
Its busy hasty rushing crowds
   And bright consumer toys.

Indeed, I sometimes like the old
   Because it's not the new;
And if you think that's strange or wrong,
   I might not much like you.

Good evening and Happy Easter. Oh, you say it happened two days ago - well, M and I had it timeshifted to today. Because, of course, the weather was lousy on Sunday and we were both out of it.

This morning, I iced two of the orange cakes I baked and decorated them with pecans, mandarin segments, star sprinkles and coloured dusting sugar. The first one I gave to my building managers in honour of my first anniversary in the building. The second one was a surprise for M. I got to M's at 4:50 and, in M's absence, took care of the chicken in the oven and prepared a salad and brought the plates out. We also had a bottle of white merlot. We watched our regular Tuesday programme (AI) which was extremely eeek-some and then I wanted to watch the results from last night's Dancing With the Stars. And, then, I toddled home.

So, it was a lovely day and I'm feeling quite pleased with myself. ::takes an unexpected bow::

Happy hugs,
H.
