Hey, I was planning on having a quiet Tuesday. Woke up at 11, which was nice, considering that I'd taken one pain killer last night and slept with my wrist splint ALL night long. Ugh. But, if I have to, I have to.
I had brekkie/lunch and took my new regime of the meds, one half pill exactly. Please, please continue to work. I was settling down to a quiet afternoon with thoughts of taking DH out onto the Patio in the late afternoon when M called, on the way back from an appointment, asking if I wanted to go shopping for a portable A/C unit. Well, even though I thought the chances of getting one this late in the season were virtually none, I agreed. So I slipped into something cool, brushed my teeth and slapped on moisturizer. Oh, and eye makeup, too. So, we went off to Canadian Tire where we found ... zilch. I think M will have to buck up and survive for the remainder of the heat wave and plan to get one at the first sign of summer next year. Sorry, hon.
Anyway, it wasn't a wasted trip completely, because we stopped off at the LCBO and I picked up 4 Autumn Blush (ooh, fancy name, snerk), 4 Pinot Gris and 3 4-packs of different coolers. The cashier was very funny, asking if I had a licence. No, lady, I'm not having a teensy, tiny party with that meagre amount of booze. Sheesh. I told her, "You're 2-1/2 miles from where I live, so I have to stock up!"
When I got home, it seemed as if it were going to rain, so I gave up any idea of sitting outside. For some reason, the low light inside is making it very difficult for me to read, especially DH. Or else, my eyesight is even more decrepit. Semi-arrgghh. So I watched two Ewok movies, dubbed in French. Hey, it wasn't so hard to understand, because half the dialogue was in Ewokese. Yub-nub, anyone? I watched the usual Enterprise - and the stripping of the series will be over next week. And that's a sad thing. No Trek to watch. Until the new movie, I guess.
Well, that was my day. I'm sure yours was much better, but I'm a day behind in reading the flist. So, if you'll please excuse me, I'm going back to reading.
Hugs to all,
H.
