Yes, I'll be repeating myself (if you'll indulge me, because the not-pain feels sooooo good) but I'm getting used to being able to move. What a concept. I spent the day puttering, continuing to clear off the coffee table (sitting in front of a cozy fireplace!) and ... I found my hammer! Where? Oh, it was buried under the rubble of mega-magazines on the aforementioned coffee table. My silly bad. I was listening to my classical radio station (I hadn't listened for a while and the station preset had been lost in last week's power failure) while I was clearing stuff away. They were having a revamped unveiling with live artists performing every single hour in their studio lobby. I think there was a lot of bubbly flowing as well. The guest that hour was Measha Brueggergosman (an amazing soprano discovered living in New Brunswick). And now she's just released an album on the DG label! That's a huge leap up from the Maritimes.
Otherwise, I had a placid day. I have lovely fluffy hair. I went outside and fondled my fresh herbs. Well ... they are a very tactile hobby and they leave my fingers smelling wonderful (especially the rosemary). I chatted with the building manager. There was no noise from the waterfront (so I guess they were doing the earth moving farther down the way), but I resisted sitting outside. Too many chores for me indoors.
I made an enormous greek salad for lunch, dinner, whatever. Talked to M several times and watched The Biggest Loser which I'm enjoying (except for the voting off part). But ... gah ... of course they're losing weight. The Black team was working out four hours every day in the desert!!!!! And I also watched my new cute fave show, How to Look Good Naked, with that saucy host, Auntie(?!?) Gok. He's a delightful stylist and very empathetic with the women whose confidence he's trying to excavate!
Anyway, I'm just about done writing about my day. There will be more tidying and de-cluttering tomorrow (and I'll finally get a chance to use all those nifty, cute magazine holders I picked up at Ikea).
Hugs to all,
H.
