It feels as if I'm half not here. Well, it does.
I was woken up by the phone at 9:45 (after going to bed at 6: eeeeeek) by the hospital. I have an appointment for Monday at 12:30 with a retina specialist at ANOTHER hospital. Well, of course I'd like to have ANOTHER hospital card in my wallet, dontcha know? But at least the universe is moving at warp speed, coming if not to my rescue then at least to my side.
I didn't even try to get back to sleep and when it was a more proper time in the morning I called M and passed along the news.
And, then, in the afternoon, I wrote a Teyla-tag to Quarantine. Let's just say my POV is something I'd never feel in my entire life - and I DO know my mind. I may have (what do you mean "may have"?) been affected by the loss of something precious to me - er, my sight - and it showed in my passion toward the character. Well, one should always learn new things about one's self.
After that I tried to eat - except I couldn't read the cooking instructions on the carton. Okay, now I'm getting mad. But I played with the angle and finally got the beef with rice in the microwave. Le sigh. Of course M would joke that I can get myself a seeing-eye pony!!!!! No, dear, I don't want a cute, adorable, tiny pony. I want my sight back. ::stamps tiny hoof, er, foot for emphasis::
I watched Air Farce and then napped which of course M interrupted with a call. But I went back to the nap. And, now, I'm up, probably going to have something to drink. And I'll read ... half-read. And grumble because I don't know why my humidifier isn't working. Hey - I need the humidity!
Okay, the mini-rant is over for today.
See me come out swinging tomorrow.
Hugs, anybody?
H.
