Okay, okay, so I'm hallucinatin'. Delusional, too.
Anyway, I received a phone call from the doctor himself (wow, how personal). We scheduled the operation for Feb 20. He did warn me that I would be in considerable pain after. Oh, great. Now I have three weeks to panic. Le sigh. The good thing is that it'll be on a Wednesday, so I'll still be able to get to church on Sunday (even though M thinks I'm in la-la-land).
I stumbled through the day. Eating at the wrong times, sleeping weirdly. Even now I'm going to get myself a bowl of cherries, even if life isn't. And my recreation of choice was watching Boston Legal. Very fun. Even if I can't stand most of the legal profession.
But, hey, I'm thankful I have M (who will get to spoil me rotten after the operation and that sounds good). I guess I'll also have to ask for stronger pain meds to take after it, otherwise you'll be hearing my yells all the way across the lake.
That's about all that Pirate Bob (aka the brave little toaster) has to say about today. I'm considering possibly doing some chores tomorrow, if my aches and pains let me. It was strange to see what fear and the adrenaline response did to me yesterday, i.e. no pain. Well, that was yesterday. It all came flooding back today. Oh, really, no, you shouldn't have. Le sigh, encore.
Resigned hugs,
H.
