So, what am I babbling about?

Well, I was getting a bit (read: a lot) tired of crying every time I turned on the 'puter, staring at a teal background (which, normally, is very soothing and extremely pleasing to my personal aesthetic). So, I changed it to High Contrast #1 which just happens to be BLACK with yellow font. And it is, surprise, surprise, much easier for me to look at. Though much shock!

Okay, so I figured that out. Now, to get to my aching eye socket and cheekbones. Today, I didn't only take my sinus pills, I took an extra-strength Advil. Hurrah - it worked. I've only got the shadow (well, it's growing, so I think I'd better have another one) of pain on my face.

The days of pain and crying have been tedious, to say the least. But I did enjoy getting my groceries delivered on Thursday and my fake-mango-shower-gel shower yesterday as well as eating Strawberry Twizzlers afterwards. So, what distinguished today? Well, just as I got off the phone with M, John called, asking if I would like to have dinner delivered. Five minutes later, he was at my door with a platter of sauteed sweet shrimp on a bed of organic brown rice with sides of mildly pickled red cabbage with nuts and avocado chunks. Ohhhhh, John, you do my soul good, not to mention the bod. As I still have blush wine in the fridge, I accompanied dinner with a full glass.

To amuse myself (and to stave off the crying), I watched Blue Harvest (M enjoyed hearing about it) and the ST:TNG ep The Host, as I have two Beverly Crusher fics to write for [livejournal.com profile] lgbtfest before the end of the month and thought I should watch the ep which I haven't seen in probably 10 years or so. I'm looking forward to writing my fics, as they'll be ep. tags, going where no woman has gone before. [Yes, I just had to insert that cheesy line!]

As I've cancelled my rides to church for tomorrow, I can concentrate on going over to spend the afternoon and evening with M ... because we miss each other. No kidding.

Anyway, that's my modest post for today and I'll probably toddle off to bed for another twelve hours of sleep - which totally amazes me.

Hugs to all and a good night, too,
H.
