Hee! Yes, I am all over the map today.
Well, even though my pickup was at 9, that was the good part of the equation. I was dropped off very quickly and spent the time being sociable. Well, I had missed the place, you know. Church was a bit scary, because Brent divulged something about his inlaws that is sad and also that he himself had been in a multi-car pileup yesterday. The car was wrecked but he was okay. The good thing is that I was on duty (and SO needed to be doing it); however, I found my wonky 200-degree vision was preventing me from even looking at the order of service. So I missed singing many of the hymns. And kept both eyes closed during the sermon. But at least I could look into people's eyes (through my light grey sunglasses) while giving them a blessing.
And, it's a good thing it didn't rain today and was mostly warm, because I ended up sitting waiting for my bus for one hour (well, the first 30 minutes were before the appointed pickup time). Finally a cab came (so there may have been a malfunction or something) and I finally, finally got home. Although, by then, I was in considerable pain and lacking the enthusiasm to do any laundry for tomorrow's hospital visit. I guess I'll just have to improvise.
At least I know I'll be able to get there. The transit strike set for 4 a.m. tomorrow was averted after the talks deadline had passed. Huge sigh of relief. And M can go horsie riding tomorrow, too. We chatted for a while and then I went back to writing. Yes, w-r-i-t-i-n-g. I have two Next Gen stories due on the 28th and the first one just needs embellishing. More sighs of relief.
Finally, I must admit to cheating tonight. I, um, er, turned on the space heater next to my 'puter. But it helped with the hip pain. Now all I need is to be taken seriously at the hospital. ::crosses fingers and toes::
Gingerly hugs to all,
H.
