I'll tell you, I was scared this morning. After I forced a half bagel with cream cheese down my throat and juice, I poured a glass of very cold water and took my first pill. And then I crawled back to bed for a 3-hour nap, because I've been feeling so cold and not able to warm up (especially my footses). I was still in pain, especially my rib cage. I tell you, it was all that rolling around for the benefit of the doctor yesterday!

So, of course, I was having doubts whether the meds would work. Ack. That's so dangerous. Negative thinking is baaaaad. But, right now, I'm getting ready to take my second dose and I'm actually wiggling my back! I'm not saying the pain has disappeared but it has dissipated dramatically. I'd also even gone into the kitchen and made myself a large greek salad. Yes, I played with the salad spinner and chopped veggies and ... everything! ::checks for possible concussion or pod::

So, now, I can be a supportive mate to M who'd called me in the middle of the night, taking a chance that I'd still be awake and able to hear a number of potential scenarios having to do with riding ... or not. Well, of course I was up, reading. And we're going together to M's GP tomorrow (with me acting as a human post-it note: I'm good at that).

Anyway, I'm going to go back to reading, and then it's time for my happy beddy (because ::giggles:: I'm never in pain when I'm in bed). No, seriously, that's what I said to the doctor! Mind you, I haven't tried out the different pillow technique he demonstrated. ::giggles at how naughty that sounded::

Hugs to all,
H.
