WOW! And, yaaaay me.
Not that it wasn't an unusual day. Because I'd stayed up until 5 a.m. Then I had a drink of Peach Vodka and Mango/OJ before crawling into bed, setting the alarm for 11.
Of course, when the alarm went off, I didn't want to wake up. I even convinced myself to reset it for 1. But I couldn't fall back asleep. ::does not understand how people can use snooze alarms:: So, reluctantly, I got out of bed and ... tried to reorganize my day.
I needed to do laundry. I needed to wash my hair. I needed to clear away clutter. But I also had wanted to go have a pedicure.
Well, in a feat of pretzel acrobatics (or weird yoga), I managed to take off the old polish (no, really, you have to believe me, because I can't really reach my toesies) and trimmed my big toenails. The others can wait for professional assistance. Big sigh of relief - and prevention of stabbing myself in the toes.
With that done, I went ahead and did the laundry. Which made me feel even hotter than it was. I was so happy when it was done, because THEN I did some cleaning around the place - as tomorrow I can haz company! And, mirabile dictu, I found my birth certificate and SIN card where I'd obviously put them for safekeeping. DUH. I have put them where they belong, underneath my passport in its normal location. I'd been dreading having to get new copies, so ::does the happy dance::.
Of course, now I'm really hot, so get me in the shower. I ended up using one of my old shampoos (orange sesame) because I'd run out of my regular stuff. Still ... water ... clean. To cool off, I'd put the fans on in the bedroom and, wrapped up in the towel, tried to have a nap. Except I ended up freeeeezing. Silly me. And I did watch Project Runway. I can't wait for next week's epi because ::sputters:: drag queens!
I think the reason I'd felt so hot all day (besides from doing stuff) was that it was supposed to have started raining around 2 p.m. Well, it started at 10, so I guess the buildup of humidity had me on edge.
Perhaps, tomorrow evening, I may be in the mood to try to finish one of my serious McShep pieces. I'd like to get it posted before The Shrine airs because, though it's different, I'd started it months ago before I even knew about the epi. And the last couple of nights, I'd dreamt about how the fic would end. Yaaaay for good, productive dreams.
Anyway, I think it's time for lunch(!!!) and then bed. I still have to do some dusting tomorrow.
La-la-la hugs,
H.
