Oh, and did I mention the pain in my bad eye? Well, I guess I did now.

Anyway, I was up shortly after 6 as I was getting tired of tossing and turning. As it was the Labour Day weekend, there were so many cancellations that I had a cab for the ride to church. The only problem was that it picked me up at 8:45 and I arrived at 9:05 which gave me lots of time to, um, waste. And I kept the sunglasses on through most of the service. I went up to one of my team leaders for communion and his prayer made me laugh, inadvertently, when he empowered me to be the hands and feet of God. Um, my hands and feet? God's in a lot of trouble. Now, if he'd said -- no, on second thought, I don't think I should put my foot in my mouth.

It was so hot in church I couldn't wait to go wait outside for my ride home. I had a driver who hasn't seen me for about a year, but he'll be on the same schedule until December. He was talking about his wife and where she taught. It turned out she alternated between my Junior High and my High School (about 1.5 miles apart), so I thought that was rather cute.

I would have loved to have tried to have a nap when I got in, but the air show and a live music bash in the not-quite-a-park next door meant that was a futile hope. And the pounding through my skull continued.

I think I should bid you goodnight and hope that some of it will rub off on me.
Exasperated hugs,
H.
