Well, eventually.
I knew I had to go shopping. No 'nanas. No juice. No nothing.
So I forced myself into the shower and I was shivering so much I turned the water to extra hot. Ahh, that felt better. Then I slipped into clothes and coat and sandals over bare feet and set out for the supermarket. And I bought these extravavant enormous peaches, because they are exquisite. I took the long way home, along the lake, and sat on the boardwalk bridge for a bit, enjoying the sun. And, then, home.
I was bored in the evening and was wondering what to watch. I finally decided on Caligula as I hadn't seen it since it was released (and it had been majorly butchered by the censor board here). It's funny because, at the time, I was not familiar with the ballet Gayna which (along with Romeo and Juliet) was used a lot for the score. But, oh my. The decadence and debauchery. And Caligula's madness. I also wondered what they paid Malcolm McDowell to play the lead. Or Gielgud and O'Toole. And let's not forget Helen Mirren. Still, at least now I know I've seen the entire uncut film. And ... next.
In other exciting news.... You guessed it. There's nothing new. So I think I shall take my leave of you and watch Air Farce. And read a bit. Hey, I never said I was logical.
Decadent-lite (only half the calories) hugs,
H.
