Well, ::sniffs:: Rodney would call it a soft science! So I don't know how many legs an insect has. My bad.

Pirate Bob wishes she could be Helenka full time. But I don't think that is my destiny. So I went off to see my eye specialist this afternoon. The first doctor who saw me got irate because I didn't drop everything last week to see the Prof. Excuse me, but I had that stupid hearing to prepare for. Sheesh. [Speaking of which, I did receive the official response yesterday; I already knew it would not be in my favour, but at least they were very sympathetic in their choice of words.]

So, I told the specialist that I'm still having eye pain (and also about Nurse John's visits - hee). He said that he was proposing surgery and prepared a fax to send to the Prof to try to fit me in ASAP. If she doesn't call me by Monday, I'm to get in touch with her. And he gave me a prescription for 6 months of the drops. Yuck.

I came home with the setting sun. I was frustrated and exhausted and certainly in no mood to clear away my planters. Yes, yes, it'll be snowing by the time we get around to it. As I was feeling sorry for myself (ha, that's quite easy these days), I ordered yummy dishes from Mandarin. The delivery guy was cute. He said I looked so nice and that I'm always dressed really nicely. What??? I was wearing all black: beret, turtleneck, tunic, leggings and capelet. Nothing all that special.

John came and went and then I went snooping on the 'net. Why? Well, I didn't mention it to the doctor, but I'm experiencing hives. At first I thought it was a single spider bite. You know, it being November and spiders wanting to find a nice cosy home indoors. But now I've got spots on both arms and also two on my face (and one on my behind, not lol). I did not see these side effects before in any printed lit; but I did just find something that said in 1% of patients there can be an allergic reaction on the skin. Oh, joy. Although I guess I should be relieved that I'm not having asthma attacks or chest or muscle pains. And the manufacturer of my drops has also created a drop delivery system so that someone as hopeless and helpless as I could administer them myself.

Anyway, I'm tired of researching, and being a guinea pig (no matter how much I loooove piggies), and having yet another operation.
Tired, tired, tired hugs.
