Oops! That came out rather strong.
But I can't help it.
I've been freezing all day long. It's a miracle I took a shower this morning, when the only source of heat was coming from inside the second closet. At least my ride to church was cozy, as they switched the bus for a cab instead. But ... but ... but, when I got to church, it was miserably cold. Why? Well, the furnace is supposed to kick in at 5 a.m. on Sundays.

It didn't.

So Brent told us we should keep our coats on. Many of the choir members had their mittens on which contrasted with the formality of their ivory gowns. As I was on duty (and had joked whether I could wear latex gloves), that meant going up to the altar rail wrapped up in my red coat. Hee - I'll have to watch the webcast to see what I looked like. I was so happy to be on my way home, this time by bus, wrapped up in my horsie blankie, that I'd forgotten I was returning to another source of cold misery. After lunch, I dove into bed and had a lovely nap.

And, now, I'm just going to go back to bed and try to forget that winter exists. If my nose and throat will allow it, because I'm shnuffling and clearing my throat. Gah!
