Hence the cute chipmunk icon.

In other news, yes, I stayed up most of the night. Well, I really did try to go to sleep, but the fates weren't kind. So I read and wrote and wasted time. I did finally nod off around 5:30 (if I recall correctly) and woke up to the alarm at noon. So, I learned something important which I have observed at other times, but not noted. I am far more limber (in the shower for one thing), when I sleep in late and can still goof off, as it were, before having to shower and dress. My, parts of me hardly hurt at all. Um ... I think that's progress.

Anyway, Thursdays are so easy because I'm always wearing the same outfit and jewellery. ::giggles:: Hey, that's one way to provide continuity to the show. So the only variation is which hairpiece to attach. Of course, Brian had to call me when I was at the hair point (and had already done my makeup), warning me that he was filming in HD from now on and that my makeup had to be ... um ... restrained. Ha! I can so be restrained. As it happens, I was running out of my normal foundation and used a sparkly powder applied with a sponge.

He picked me up at 5:27 and we were at his place in mere minutes. This time I actually had a REAL job on camera. I got to hold the cookbook and tell him what ingredients he needed. Tonight's special was mini basil pesto and goat cheese pizzas (on whote wheat English muffins), garnished with kalamata olives, red onion slices and quartered artichoke hearts. Is that everything? It seemed more complicated. The muffies were served on a bed of arugula and spinach leaves, cherry tomatoes, red onion slivers (eek - so strong) and more olives, drizzled with the oil from the artichokes (my suggestion). As always, excellent. We watched the epi while eating. I like that because it's no fun to see just the edited down version of 10- minutes. Also, he's added a soundtrack to the third epi, including a shortened version for the opening/closing credits. Yay, we can haz a web-show for realz. We chose our food for next week (it's going to be brekkie) and then he drove me home.

Okay, so I'm going back to writing my McDex. I just thought of some more stuff I want John to be thinking of (poor guy). And, alas, I phoned the used bookstore. Well, I can't take my books there. He's going out of business and not accepting any new intake. Wah. Well, that's a problem for another day. Nighty-night, all.

I got an envelope in the mail from [livejournal.com profile] tepintzin. Hmmm, I wondered, as I carried it inside, what could it be. Well, it was a notecard with a sheet on which drawings had been coloured in on both sides by Afghan kids. On one side was a Chinese water dragon. On the other was a Yorkshire --- (yes, you can guess what letters the three spaces represent). Anyway, it was so sweet (and unusual), because the body and one back leg were coloured blue green (semi-blind in the dark here, remember); the other legs were taupe and the ears were pink.

It. Is. Wonderful.
Thank you, Teppy. If you see the kids again, tell them they made someone far away very happy.
