Yes, I woke up. And had the expected 'nanas and juice for brekkie. Yes, this time, I checked to make sure I was pouring juice instead of white wine!

But I was sooooooo cold and miserable, I had to shut the living room window. And then crawled into bed for a miserable two-hour nap. With very weird dreams (that I don't even want to remember).

Eating was a scavenging (excavating?) adventure as I braved the contents of my freezer. So what I thought was pork roast with mushroom sauce was - after defrosting - homemade shepherd's pie (though it appeared to consist only of ground meat and corn). Well, with a few grindings of salt and pepper, it was edible; though ultimately I believe the glass of wine helped with digestion. What was far better was my homemade beet soup. Now that had survived the deep freeze very well. I appear to have a couple of pureed veggie soups and a few more of the beet, so I'll be happy to finish those off. [Soon I shall have an empty freezer and be ready to move! How scary-exciting!]

For entertainment I watched another - yes, you guessed it - N.C.I.S.. And I was thrilled to receive lovely f/b for last year's [livejournal.com profile] lgbtfest Boston Legal fic. Ah - the wonders of the 'net where things never die (at least, this was a good example). And tonight I've been moving furniture (on screen) again. How can I fit my entertainment centre as well as everything else already chosen into John's bedroom. Oh, I'm sure I'll figure it out: it'll be unconventional as me. Alas, I'm having a thoroughly conventional eyeache now, so I should really go do the eyedrops and think about sleep. Nighty-night, all.
