Well, I guess it's understandable. I didn't get to bed until nearly 2 and the alarm was set for 6. Eeek! I know, it's all the fault of my new N.C.I.S. obsession. And I watched yet another one after my shower.
My ride was early and the driver dropped me off at 9:10 a.m. But I found myself a comfy armchair in the social hall and was ... er ... social. I also picked up a free mag and learned that there had been a Pride House at the Vancouver Olympics, the first time ever. So, yes, more yay Canada!
We had a guest preacher today, the mother of our virtual chaplain. And, oh, the music was amazing. One of our musicians normally plays the sax and/or clarinet. Today she also played the accordian. I can imagine her lugging all the instruments on Sundays. And ... and ... ::cheers:: I got to sing most of my fave hymn as it was scheduled. I had to laugh because, though I was slumming what with not wearing a hairpiece and covering my head with my black beret, I got lots of complliments. Oh, well, I guess it was the sparkly patterned sweater and the equally ethereal sparkly scarf. And, oh, citrine chandelier earrings. But ::protests weakly:: I really was slumming.
It was a cold and nasty day. Luckily it didn't start raining until after I'd been picked up. I was so happy to be home. Lunch was more of that divine dark rye bread, with pepperoni and cheddar cheese and gherkins. And a glass of ginger ale. I finally got around to gathering up my stuffed animals. OMG. They don't look like much when arrayed in display cases, etc. But, after I've brushed them off (of dust) and put them in plastic bags, they're everywhere. And, no, I didn't do any more books. I'll be waking up at 6 tomorrow to try to finish that chore.
After a weird dinner of an avocado, a couple of mandarins, two nectarines and a bunch of mini cinnamon buns, I'm ready to watch another episode of that show. Hey, I'm nearly up to one-third of S7. Anyway, that's a wrap.
