Many yays for extra sleep. Well, I was cold (again), so I dragged myself back to bed and had a lovely long sleep until ::tries to remember:: around 2:45 p.m. And I knew I had tons of time to get ready until John and I were to be picked up (at 7:15). The silly boy sent me a sekrit e-mail whose subject line said it wasn't to be opened until after we got back home. ::shakes head:: What is it with all this intrigue?
I dressed half-warmly (scarf, turtleneck, but only my spring coat). Yet it was cold in the lobby and it was dreadful out (raining heavily). Anyway, we set out for our jaunt to the big supermarket miles away. I bought some gorgeous stuff, such as pink (!) onions, one each of yellow, orange and red peppers, organic avocados (which I've never had before), orange vine tomatoes, berry vine tomatoes, organic celery, tons of 'nanas and mandarin oranges, really white 'shrooms, chicken thighs and bbq sauce, soft rye bread, yogurt and white grape juice (which I adore). And I had time to pick up some of my personal ... um ... weaknesses. Yes, chocolate with hazelnuts, gummy bears and almond mocha fudge ice cream. Aren't I predictable. And, as the whole store was closing down, I rushed into a wine kiosk (that I didn't even know was there) for a 1.5 L bottle of blush.
And, then, John and I went out (in the pouring rain, ugh) to stand under the overhang to wait for our ride. The driver's schedule was all convoluted, so he ended up driving us through his next two dropoffs. But we didn't mind, because one of the dropoffs was at another one of those precious hidden locations on the shore of Lake Ontario. I have to remember the address, so I can look it up on the 'net and see what it's like in the daytime. Finally, finally OMG finally we were home. I struggled in with all of my stuff and unloaded it. I've just finished watching Innerspace so I guess it's time for ... lunch, anyone? I think it'll be avocado, orange tomato, onion with gouda and rye bread. Sounds ... colourful. And, on that note, I'll just say nighty-night!
So what was John's e-mail about? Well, he's found a place that may be able to help me with some of my bureaucratic problems. And they're in this part of the city. Still, silly boy.
