I miss posting every day. Even if it's something trivial. At least I am reading my flist. And find it rather odd (and a relief) to see that posting volumes are down (to spare me, no doubt, lol).
Still ... I can't stand the fact that I don't have my own 'puter hooked up to the webz. Hang in there, l'il Liblikas; Uncle Brian is trying to fix the router problem.
Right now, I've finally gotten around to doing 3 loads of laundry. Very much needed, especially as I'm off to the GP tomorrow (please send good vibes, bribes, etc.).
As I don't have 'net access in the evenings (and I'm all tucked away in my room), I've been watching DVDs. So far, I've watched Nanny McPhee, The Terminal, Miss Congeniality 2, Stargate (the extended version) and Legally Blonde. I'm alternating between stuff I've seen and new stuff. And I'll be donating a lot (whoa) of DVDs to the thrift shop at church, because there just isn't room for them here (or in the storage space). On tap for tonight is either Legally Blonde 2 or Princess Diaries. Hmmm ... do you see a certain trend towards fluff? I wonder why. Actually I know why.
I finally finished reading My Life in France; but, because I started it months ago, I've had to go back to the beginning to connect the dots. I don't mind, because Julia Child's life was fascinating. And I've acquired a better understanding of American politics via the McCarthy witch-hunts. I'm getting the impression (and, plz, U.S. folks, correct me if my impression is WAY off base) that the slant against educated folk (aka elitists) started then (because higher education was such a breeding ground foraccepting perverted beliefs expanding horizons). In any case, I really enjoyed reading about how Julia and her sister were the left-leaning Democrats vs her unyielding father, Republican to the bone (and her brother).
Oops. Must run ... er, hobble. I've got to put the laundry in the dryer. Miss you all!!!!!
