Another grotesque day according to Grumpy Greta. Gruesome details:
Grumpy Greta woke up and hated it immediately because GG's fingers were all swollen and "frozen". GG now has a better understanding of C3PO's comment in the desert on Tatooine.
GG ate, had a nap, tried to read and gave up and was otherwise extremely grumpy.
GG finally watched the latest (hmmm #5?) epi of Project Runway and was very pleased that the underdog team won. GG loathes bratty and bossy contestants!
GG put her hands on her hips (metaphorically, 'cuz it was too hot for even that) and insisted that John open the door to the hallway so that we could get something approximating a breeze through the place.
GG ate dinner out on the balcony where it was almost as hot as inside, but tried to catch every wisp of an almost-moving air.
GG washed her hair in what she considered to be a COLD shower (it was lukewarm) and then applied a layer of bliss (aka talcum powder).
GG sent her baby bro an e-mail and got a reply. Yaaaaay, he's back from camp!
Okay, GG is all tired out (though unfortunately the grump factor is apparently self-renewing in icky weather). Helenka, OTOH, managed to think of some more plot details for the Big. Damn. Novel. Amazing that her (er, my) brain managed to come up with anything in this heat.
Well, I'm going back to reading, though I have no idea how long I'll last before flaking out. Nighty-night, all.
