Whoa. So, first of all, I stayed up way too late, leaving me with only 4 hours to sleep. Is that why I had chaotic, thankfully unremembered dreams last night. Arrgghh. I booked my rides for tomorrow shortly after 7. Then I goofed around, trying to get into the proper mindset to write my story for
stargate_las. Nah ... mind not responding.
In any case, I was on pins and needles waiting for my food to be delivered. As I was out of entrées completely, I had soup for brekkie, cream of 'tater. Luckily, the food arrived after 11, so I had dinner (beef stroganoff on noodles, cauliflower, carrots) for lunch. And, only then, did I buckle down and write-write-write. That wasn't the hard part. The hurtful thing was proof-reading over and over and finding stupid errors (like not finishing off dialogue with "). I've found the only way to do proper proof-reading is to actually speak the words. Ouch. Throat all raspy, too.
I got a little anxious after I read the posting rules that said the deadline was 5 p.m. today, so I finally sent it off around 3:30. It was acknowledged and, not too long after, all of the stories were made available for voting. Acckk. There's too many to read (even though I already finished reading the 30+ fics for SGA alone). There's also a bunch for SG-1 and a few for SGU. So, PTB, SGA is supposed to be dead??? I and my fellow writers obviously don't agree.
After I finished, I was exhausted, my eyes were gritty and in pain (even the stupid blind one that had been closed all day which ... WTF???). I quickly had milk and cereal and 'nanas for dinner, watched our next cooking epi to be released next week and had a 2-hour nap. I really needed it.
The only thing I still need to do (probably will get to it tomorrow morning) is to produce a promo flyer to hand out at the meeting for my guest appearance next month. So, something quirky and imaginative and eccentric. Just like moi! Okay, I press POST now and will put my thinking cap on. Nighty-night, all.
