Okay, I'll admit it. I have done one of the weirdest things of my life. I lugged up the Christmas tree and moved some of my stuff, so it's in the window corner, set on a glass and black steel table. No deccies, only clear lights, holly berries and sprigs of branches. Have I officially (or unofficially) flipped? No. But I really wanted and needed desperately to have something cheerful in the room. The way I did it, I have some of my sparkliest jewelry on the glass top shimmering with the lights. [That's why I used the Chrysler Building for my icon, 'cuz it's sparkly, too.]

I went up and down between the storage locker many times, because I kept forgetting stuff. Oy. Before John took off for the day, he said it was gorgeous and I should go sit at the picnic table. Well, he was right (and I just told him so when he came home). I sat out on my walker at the furthest point of the property (behind the brick bbq) where I counted either 14 or 16 swans. There were also so many sailboats out. After 20 minutes, I had to move because the sun was disappearing. But, when I walked along the path closer to the building, I saw the hidden picnic table enjoying the last rays, so I went and sat there a little longer. Oh, just such a joy.

I'd intended to soak my aches and pains in epsom salts and I used an entire quart container in the tub. I ended up doing exercises with my feet: first walking, then jogging and finally running. I've finally found something even I can do, in a warm and comfortable environment. Yay, me! But I was so out of it afterwards that I didn't change the linens.
Maybe tomorrow. And I'm wearing a turtleneck sweater and socks to bed. Colour co-ordinated, natch.

Eating only fruit and yogurt has done me a world of good; but I was famished earlier today and broke down and had a swedish meatballs entrée to no apparent harm. But I'm sticking to more of the good stuff. In the evening I decided to take the two soups that had been defrosted: cream of celery and cream of carrot and mixed them in the same bowl and ate the soup cold. It was terrific, full of bits of veggies and reminded me a bit of vichyssoise.

Okay, I have church in the morning, so I'm signing off and turning in. Nighty-night, all.
