It's pretty bad when I rerun a header, especially that one.

But, seriously, universe. You give me 3.5 hours of sleep and then jerk me awake?!?!?!?!? Apparently, yes. So I was up at 4:30 and, being hot and not able to breathe, decided to toodle around on the 'puter. However, I did eventually go back to bed and actually fell asleep for a couple of hours until I got the phone call with my ride time for tonight. Did the eyedrops and brekkie (sweet & sour chicken on rice with peas and corn) thing. And, then, needed to have yet another couple of hours of sleep. Body, would you please make up your mind?????

Anyway, for lunch I heated up the pepper squash soup John had made yesterday. Um ... what flavour is it supposed to be? I couldn't tell. But it was a good thing to have with the prebiotic bread. I e-mailed the volunteer co-ordinator about Christmas Eve, but didn't receive a reply yet.

I started getting ready around 3:30, choosing my ivory silk top with the black slashes, along with my two pearl necklaces joined by a glittery starburst pin (and matching earrings). Yes, I sparkle so nicely. While I was getting ready, I watched this week's epi of the show-whose-name-I'm-not-uttering and couldn't believe the ridiculous ramping up of the drama. I was beginning to worry when I hadn't heard from Brian until he called at 5:18 saying he was just leaving. So I went downstairs at 5:55 and sat and waited. And waited. Aaaaaaaaaaan waited. Because of traffic, he didn't show up until around 6:40. Eeeeek! On top of still feeling sick (hacking cough, eye ache and a bit of nausea).

So, tonight's show was his surprise: we were making original pizzas, choosing whatever toppings and cheeses we wanted. He chose blue cheese and boursin and I chose the aged cheddar with the Quebec ementhal-style. Also strewn on top (over virgin olive oil on flatbread) were chopped garlic, huge fresh basil leaves, caramelized onions, thinly-sliced tomatoes, shitake 'shrooms, kalamata olives, cippolini onions, anchovy fillets. I declined the sundried tomatoes, so he held off on his half as well.

Well, those were some spectacular hot cheese and vegetarian pizzas. I even licked my plate clean (using my finger). And, then, we watched a couple of epis in HD before I had to leave. So we went downstairs at 8:25 and Brian gallantly waited until my ride showed up a titch late. Official huggy-wuggies and I was home in a few minutes where I got a couple of freshly baked cookies from John. And, now, I've had my hot chocolate (which SO did NOT work last night). I'm hoping for different results tonight.
