Or should I merely say: see yesterday's post; add more misery. Cuz, yup, I woke up after a couple of hours. It's just no fun not being able to sleep. Now, if I were pulling an all-nighter Just. For. Fun (as I used to do ALL the time, especially writing fic) four years ago, that would be an entirely different thing. Entirely.

But, somehow, I managed to squeeze out a couple more hours, waking to my alarm at 8:30. At least I had brekkie to look forward to (Swedish meatballs on flat noodles, peas and carrots). It was hideously cold today, with howling winds and all. I even found it cold in the bedroom that is usually toasty warm. As I have having a carb-craving, I boiled up a mess of mushroom/sauerkraut pierogi. And then lay down for a 2-hour nap. Ha! I got in ONE hour and then woke up. So I decided to do one-little-chore. I washed out the freezer and rearranged all of my frozen foods. I even made new ice cubes. Yay me. Since I'd removed the white steel rack from the freezer, I can now use it in the bedroom ... but it won't fit where I want it to. Oy!

I took a peek into the living room and saw that John had continued rearranging the furniture and I can't believe how huge and airy it looks now. So I feel vindicated, because I've always been a proponent of long parallel placement against the wall (and he prefers things on the diagonal ... that, duh, take up much more space). So I got enthused about trying to do a bit more in the bedroom. As my ceiling fixture cover is broken, I thought I could suspend a pale pink umbrella from it (with such a lovely cast to my complexion). When John came home, he dissuaded me from it as we would have had to chop off the spindle from the brolly, but then it would have been too close to the ceiling to change bulbs. Hmmmm. I wonder if I can do a "To Wong Foo" and create something out of scarves????? Creativity, here I come.

While munching on the customary apples (two more to go), a 'nana, milk and cereal for dinner, I've been polishing the notes for the cooking show. Except now Brian expects me to add tags. Um ... Brian, just how am I supposed to do that in a format I've never used before. Ell-jay is easy, but give me a break. And it needs to be finished tomorrow. So do I crush my pillow now ... or what? Well, I'll see what he says ... tomorrow morning.

And I have a philosophical response from John about my expanding pain and unceasing bouts of insomnia. He said, "After all, it's not as if you have to go to work!" Yeah, that wouldn't be a problem if it were ONLY insomnia. But, it's the pain, John. The. Pain. Arrgghh.
