Oy. Shortly past 11 and I'm already off to bed. Well, I've been ready ever since last night, though I did eventually manage to fall into bed at 3:30 a.m. and slept until the alarm woke me up at 6:30 (and I keep having to backspace to fix all of my typos, because the brain and hands are tired).
I booked my ride for the Christmas Eve service tomorrow and then had brekkie, one of my faves, aka honey garlic ribs, baby Chinese-style veggies and nutty nice. And, then, of course, came the digestive nap. While I was lying down, BD called so he could get my particulars, as he was going to contact customer service so we would be on the same vehicle tomorrow evening. But I did get another couple of hours. When I woke up, I had to force myself to get ready to go out. Eeeeeek! No. Hot. Water. Well, there went my plan to wash my hair. And even brushing teeth with freezing water is not pleasant.
However, I did go out, got money to pay my rent, picked up two cards, candy canes and a cheapie yucky set of big, coloured lights (because my tree is feeling sad). I then crossed the street and picked up a carton of mandarin oranges, gummi bears, cola, dried figs and petits pois. And then I walked home. But I wasn't done yet. I tried picking up the carton of John's junk he wanted to store in the locker. Ha! Not bloody likely. I couldn't pick it up. So I went down and got my two boxes of Christmas deccies and - with all of the leisure time I'll have tomorrow ... NOT - I'll be decorating, too. So, I was exhausted when I came back, but still had to do the dishes. Luckily the water was turned back on. Lunch was sorta, kinda gummi bears followed by another entree, this time sweet & sour chicken balls on lo-mein noodles with mixed veggies. I also sent holiday wishes to G and hope I'll hear from him the first week of January.
I was sleeping when John came home, but he was a busy beaver and did a whole bunch of cleaning and tidying up. I gave him a really nice fake fur coat one of my friends from church had given me (it's too tight); it looked fabulous on him and he even has a matching fur hat. We talked for a little while, I had a bowl of his organic beef chili and then I wished him a Merry Christmas in case we miss each other in the hustle and bustle of the next two days.
Okay, time to order my body to rest (despite the glass of cola I just had, but then that type of caffeine has never been a problem). Could I be that lucky tonight???
