Woke up before the alarm, but still got a goodly number of hours of sleep. Yay! At least I had a much better new brekkie today: it was halal spicy beef with rice and diced turnips and squash. Though, once again, I have to question the insipid level of spicing. I may need to add my own.
It was a titch warmer out, so I got brave and put on my Mary Janes (instead of my huge clodhopper boots); but I still wore warm clothes. I was picked up at 12:50 and arrived at my destination at 1:03. With my appointment at 2, I had plenty of time. So I found a sunny spot right next to a huge evergreen and let my back soak up lots of warmth. I giggled at the thought that the bushy tree branches resembled bouquets of raccoon tails! Well, they did.
When I went in, I found out the woman I was supposed to be meeting with wasn't in and they handed her work over to yet another person. ::plays musical doors:: I really, really have to buckle down and get my applications done. So what's the holdup? Obviously, not being able to see and not having anywhere to stick papers temporarily when I'm tired of sorting (and have been using the BED as my table). ::sighs::
I was done shortly after 3. I went to sit outside to wait for my ride, even though the sun was hidden behind clouds, the wind had picked up and it felt much colder. So I had to pull my gloves on and slide my shawl over my head. Luckily, my driver was way early ::cheers driver:: and I arrived home before the time I was supposed to be picked up. I love my time paradoxes.
When I came in, I warmed myself up by heating minestrone with beef barley soup (as I only had one portion of each). So what was the verdict? Hot. [This new company must have a fetish for tiny things (their so-called hearty chicken noodle soup has tiny vermicelli; this hearty barley soup had pearl barley). ::sighs:: I'm sure most of you would think that chunky and substantial would qualify a soup as "hearty", as I do.]
After being home a couple of hours I began to feel very cold, which meant it was definitely time for a nap. However, I was so cold I woke up even before the 2.5 hour mark. Boo to a wibbly-wobbly body thermostat. So I pulled on the sweater I'd worn out.
Anyway, I'm still yawning and can't stay up too late. I still feel the eye-headache of doom, but it only started a little while ago. Stupid pain: Go. Away. ::sighs again::
