::sighs:: What is it about 4 a.m. (or thereabouts) and me waking up? It's now been two days in a row, if you couldn't guess from the time I posted the Charlotte & Jonathan video. No wonder I was too zonked to post last night (especially as I'd gone to bed at 1:15 a.m.).

Sunday had its ups (way up) and downs (ugh).
UP: Doing a fabulous eye makeup job (including ::gasps:: contouring with eye shadows).
UP: Getting my hair to obey (with the assistance of hairspray).
DOWN: Being picked up early and then being stuck in another stupid traffic snarl because there was a 10K charity run, supposedly the first of a series that will be happening Every. Bloody. Sunday! The driver was simply incensed. No wonder: his schedule was totally wrecked.
UP: Sitting behind our guest preacher, a doctor and fertility specialist, and her family.
UP: Going over and giving my church mum a hug and getting a kiss on the cheek in return. Posting on FB and having her call me “daughter” in a comment. That is something I'll treasure forever.
UP: Having my sis RS ask me for my advice on a personal matter after church. ::giggles:: I may have some experience there.
UP: Having my driver take me on a nostalgic tour on the way home. First he went up University and along Hoskin. When we passed Trinity College, I remembered Brent receiving his doctorate and, many decades earlier, me performing in the chapel, its magnificent stained glass windows behind me. [I'm grateful I have a piccie to remind me.]
UP: Grocery shopping and buying something different for lunch – prepared couscous salad (at half-price).
DOWN: Finding the quality of the oranges I bought to be terrible. I may have to slice them in quarters and suck out the flesh as they're too dry to peel easily.
UP: Watching a couple more epis of Glee.
UP: Taking a three-hour nap. Waking up and resetting the alarm for an additional hour and falling back to sleep automatically.
UP: Staying up and reading, trying not to fall behind.

Answer: I watched SEVEN episodes of S1 Glee. Amazingly enough, it worked. Well ... duh. 'Cuz distraction. Ironic that the pain was in my left ankle. You know, 'cuz dancing needs feet. [Speaking of Glee, TPTB are moving it to Thursday nights in the fall. Obviously, they didn't consult with moi!]

Otherwise, I had a blah day. There seemed to be a sudden chill in the afternoon which led me to close my windows. And, when I went to get the mail, a neighbour I'd never seen before was joking that being blind wasn't so bad (he wasn't) if it meant you couldn't see the people you couldn't stand. Uh ... buddy, you could just close your eyes. Oy.

I've had my 3-hour nap and am now girding my virtual loins, pondering whether I want to write something scathing to the resident bigot on SLOG. Even if I decide NOT to engage him, I know he'll still be there tomorrow. But sometimes (like ALL the time), his bigotry is so maddening. Oh, decisions, decisions....
