A RL friend just posted this on fb and I simply had to share it here. What better way to get the message across than in music and ... dismissive parody!

Hello, fellow earthlings. Greetings from teeter-totter land (which should really be accompanied by my wishy-washy icon but ... whatever).

A pattern has been revealed to me and I'm so not a happy camper. It appears that PAIN vs NOT-PAIN is alternating on a daily basis. When I woke up this morning, I felt almost fine. For some weird reason, my magic mattress is able to leech pain from my lower limbs, but only every other night. Mind you, it's not a totally pain-free state ... but it's at least tolerable. If my body came with a user's manual, I'm sure the pages concerning my current state would be in ... Klingon. ::sighs:: But at least I had a tolerable day.

Last night I managed to entertain myself with a frivolous pairing: Rodney/Radek. I headed over to Crossroads to read most of the stories. It can be a believable one, far more than certain others which I won't be so foolish as to mention. But, really, for some fans, if two characters merely look at each other once, then they're an OTP. If they don't even look at each other, then of course they're hiding their relationship from everyone else. ::giggles at fandom foibles::

Today I had a cute encounter while getting the mail. I mentioned to a man I'd chatted up on the elevator how I'd been tragically disconnected from the internet for nearly an hour two days ago by the power failure. And then we got on to the way we've abandoned land-lines. I talked about growing up in a house with a party-line shared with another house. And he mentioned he grew up with a LEnnox phone number. I chirped in that I had, too. That's one of the idiosyncracies of TO. When I was young (insert requisite SW opening), ALL TO numbers began with a word mnemonic where the first two letters corresponded to the first two numbers. It made it easier to remember. Beside LEnnox (for my geographic part of TO), I remember EMpire for the business district and AGincourt.

Okay, enough nostalgic meandering. I have the last of the cherries to finish eating (sadness) and stories to read. Because, I ♥ the internet. ::giggles::
