Especially not when paired with a white blouse whose collar was like a judicial tie. And I'm serving communion in an obstacle course. Oh, yes. I had lots of fun. And some touching moments with fave people. OTOH, because it was a drizzling day out, it was so horribly dark inside the sanctuary, it felt like being at the evening service. Very depressing.

What was delightful was having the volunteer coordinator come up to me to personally ask about my volunteering intentions and seating preference for Christmas Eve. That was a very thoughtful gesture. I indicated I'd be sitting with church-John and asked for the left side of the hall. However, she's unwilling to let me do the registration desk by myself, as things can get hectic. But I don't know who might be interested to join me. I did ask a new friend (sneakily) if she'd be at the service but she'll already be out of town. Oh, well, I'm not going to worry. Another delightful thing was having church-John provide me with two sheepskin pads to sit on. They felt marvellous against my achy bones on such a damp day.

I've had an inadvertent nap and have to buckle down and return to the stupid bureaucratic form, even though my brainz hurt. I'd really like to get it finished within the next couple of hours. ::crosses fingers and tries to focus::
