Whoa! Talk about an open-ended nap, because I just dropped off close to 7 and opened my eyes after 11. OTOH, I was cozy and had had a relaxing day. [We just won't remind ourselves that we don't ALWAYS have relaxing as our only goal. ::sighs::]

I finally got Linux to play nice (yes, I should be using "nicely"). First, I brought back the PANEL. I just took a chance that I could with a right-mouse click. And it's now at the extreme botton of my screen where I have a better chance of guessing what's going on. I don't even mind that the symbols are teeny. After that, I tried playing the CD using Kaffeine again. And, again, I only got the one track. But, when I tried VLC, it actually went on to the second. Yay! It's a miracle! At least in my neck of the woods. The choir was fabulous. I preferred the churchy stuff rather than the gospely or cutesy music. Our music director's brilliant arrangements always slay me. She took the unaccompanied sung Benediction and turned it into a sax solo for the final track. I could not believe how effective it was. After that, I finally sent church-John an e-mail to say that I'd been able to listen to it, thereby extending the best-day-of-the-week feeling.

In the afternoon, I decided to watch a movie. I chose My Life in Ruins (the not-sequel to My Big Fat Greek Wedding). It was fun but really just an empty romcon, though Richard Dreyfuss as the crotchety, smart-ass old guy was fun.

And then came the nap-of-naps. Which I probably needed because my spine has been screaming at me all day long. Oh, look: it's gearing up to scream some more. Which means I shouldn't stay up too late. Also, Brian is STILL M.I.A. I know that gmail was down yesterday, but he could be texting me or something. ::sighs and worries:: I'd better send him some positive ~vibes~ overnight, so he can find himself!
