Ah, the people who make our lives ... ::coughs:: interesting.

Church-John so far had informed me what the holy days had been yesterday and the day before. I'd been thinking of texting him, but the sillyphone demanded far too much time to recharge. And, then, as if he were reading my mind, he texted me, saying that today was Slaughter of the Holy Innocents Day. ::quirks left eyebrow:: Seriously???

I watched the first two episodes of my brand new S2 Glee DVD and then texted Brian who merely replied "lol".

I also received a troubling e-mail from my church friend Rob. Although he made it through Christmas Eve and Christmas, he's come down with bronchitis and pneumonia. Ugh. So not fun. I'll miss him and his unorthodox greeting this Sunday. I sent him my reply with wishes for a speedy recovery.

And, finally, I emailed my thanks to the organizer of the Christmas Day Dinner. I'm just so impressed by how well it was carried off as opposed to when I was in charge through the 1990s. There's no longer the "orphan" stigma and a lot more support from within the church hierarchy. That makes a huge difference.

I've had my post rye'n'ginger nap and am about to have my bowl of French onion soup. And, then, I'm going to go back to reading fic. Just the right thing for a cold winter's night!
