Not surprising that the show was tonight's N.C.I.S. epi with an entangled swirl of loss, redemption, forgiving oneself for survivor's guilt, and a gentle acceptance of current reality. Was also fascinated to get into the headspace of a sniper. And, then, there was the breathtaking ending. Nope, no spoilers. Anyway, I'll have to rewatch it, not only for that ending, but also to figure out who the final motorcycle rider was. Arrgghh for blindness.

Was pleased to have had a good night's sleep, even on top of all the stress-napping during yesterday's power outage. Hey, I'll take good sleep any time. I had to respond to a FB request to attend the 80th birthday party for a church friend, an amazingly vibrant and still energetic woman who just happened to be a co-founder of PFLAG. As it's impractical for me to be gallivanting across the city at night, I used my words in tribute to her. They were appreciated, so I feel all warm and fuzzy about that. I still have to reply to the music director's continued reminder that she'd like me to be in her choir (she's only been doing this since 2001). I'll try to send her something tomorrow about the degradation of my voice (oh, gee, something else to depress me, even if it is RL).

Also enjoyed tonight's Jeopardy! in which the champ, a delightful man, had $19K and bet a true daily double on a clue about the largest Canadian port only 15 miles away from the U.S. border. The ... silent wait ... seemed endless, but he got "Vancouver" in at the very last moment. Gutsy, and also the eventual runaway winner.

I'm going back to reading for a little while, to lull myself into another pleasant night's sleep. ::crosses fingers::
