I guess that should be the major accomplishment for the day, though climbing icy steps when I got home from church nearly did me in. I was slippin'n'slidin', as was my cane. So not a secure feeling.

But, back to the beginning of the day. I had another deep sleep, though it was shorter than usual. It was a relief to wait for my minivan in the vestibule. The driver was terrific, guiding me carefully down the path (good that SuM had added extra salt before leaving for work). Church was fulfilling as always. The music was just glorious and scintillating at times. Our music director had an additional two hands on the piano when accompanying the Choir in "Angels From The Realms of Glory"; she was the powerful horses pulling the sleigh, he was the jingling bells on the horses' bridles. The Children's Church presented a Christmas Pageant which was both touching and hilarious (um, the twinkling star moved the wrong way). Our three crowned Magi were two dads and their son. Loved it!

I was picked up early and got home before 1:00. Once again, my driver made sure I didn't skate too much climbing the stairs. Once in, though, my brain seemed to be short-circuiting. It felt as if it took me a long time to write and post my review, after which I just wanted to climb into bed and warm up. Later on, I had a wee visit from SuM and Diva cat. SuM may be away for the holidays many more days than expected. That can only mean ... sleepovers for me and the cats (and keeping them from declaring World War cat).

I slept for hours. When I woke up, I noted I'd received a message from a church friend. Oops. I missed writing about something I should have included. So I fixed it quickly. And I think I have to go back and fix something else. ::shakes head and hears rattling:: So, it's the cold and snow and ice affecting my equilibrium. Sigh.

Hope my brain is functioning tomorrow as I intend to be working hard on the fic I want to post THIS YEAR. ::stomps wee hoof in determination:: Until then, nighty-night, all.
