At least for the blonde. I woke up at ::grrrrrrowls:: 3:23 a.m. Oh, sure, palindromic numbers are ... precious, but not THAT early at dark o'clock. But, knowing my sleep schedule was FUBAR, I got out of bed. Fooled around on the computer for a while, then read on the iPad. Took my sweet time to have brekkie, no juice but a can of Coke for its caffeine, did my makeup, but was still in my night attire. I thought I still had ages until my bus but, when I looked at the microwave, I noticed to my horror that it was ::shrieks:: 8:35 a.m. and the bus was due at 9:05. Holy moly, if you could see me rushing around, jamming my new booties over my leggings, not having time to put a bra on, so I wore my very tight slinky black top, popped my black beret on my head, coat, gloves, and out the door. Amazingly, I was outside before the driver showed up. Mind you, I was breathing like a horse! I'm glad I wore my booties because it had been raining hard.
I got the chance to relax at church and then settled into my pew with the earnest hope I wouldn't fall asleep (even though I did yawn a lot toward the end). Even worse, I was ON DUTY, so had to keep my wits about me, making up blessings. By the time the service was over, I was a limp washcloth. But I'd made it, including remaining attentive to all the glorious music, including a tender version of "You Raise Me Up".
More rain when I stuck my head out the door. A friend was picked up by a minivan. Then the van returned about 15 minutes later, with him still inside. Now I was apparently scheduled for the same van. Finally, we both got home. SuM and S were in as their pickup hockey(?) game had been cancelled.
I really struggled to write my summary but, in the end, the church and others liked it, so I wasn't extremely brain-impaired, though I sure felt it. Not one of my better efforts. Watched the news in the evening which was grotesque from south of the border. I roused myself enough to have some instant noodles and then listened to another section of my Audiobook, even though my mind kept wandering. Oops. I may be a little spotty with some details when we finally meet. Anyway, I seriously, seriously, screamingly seriously need to crawl into bed and experience some real sleep to replace the farce of last night. ::crosses fingers::
