I think I've found a replacement (upgrade) for my missing watch. This one has the Eco-Drive, a not-quite-yellow-not-quite-rose gold finish … and the dial is surrounded by Swarovski crystals, just as the old one was. The price? Don't ask. A bit higher than what I'd expected to pay; OTOH, I filed my taxes this morning and could buy myself several watches!
Doing the taxes was annoying. The software provider kept trying to get me to upgrade (for an additional fee). When I declined, I had to reenter most of my details manually. Not so much fun when my sight was pretty bad this morning (and, naturally, it's much better now).
After that was done, I could do whatever I wanted. So I finished rereading May's depressing book about rape culture. But I got a chance to flesh out my original notes. Now I get to read June's which may (or may not) be about Marxism in France?!? I caught up on my shows, doing a sweep of MacGyver (creepy with a most satisfying ending), N.C.I.S. (ooh, boy, a conspiracy going all the way to the DoD top), and a redemptive Nola about people injured in the line of duty with recording chips being hidden in their prosthetic devices to aid a Peruvian cocaine ring! ::rolls eyes::
I emailed Ash with the details of the watch. I hope she can check it out before church tomorrow (or even at church). It would be wonderful if she could order it - as there's only one left in stock (with more coming, though). So I'll go to bed with dancing dazzling lights blinking in my head. Gently, though. I need my sleep.
