But I am wiped. It was a dreary, rainy day. When I woke up, my vision was deteriorating. But, after I'd finished reading a story that resulted in happy tears, I noticed colour flooding back into the font. Hmmmm. So … happy emotions. Noted.
Church was an … experience where Rev. Deana's sermon on humility featured wolves. The processional had our children, one aisle of hippies, the other aisle of Roman soldiers wearing tin foil helmets and shields. Really, no expense spared. Actually, no expense! And then there was the bit about Robbie Burns writing a poem to a louse; who'd expect Rev. Jeff to find a tiny bug on his sleeve (I figured it had hitched a ride on a pussy willow or palm leaf) when church-John, Cory, Teresa and I went up for Communion? Add some glorious music (especially "The Holy City") and I was transported into a happy place. Oh, yes, another happy thing: Ash was very baaaaaad. She'd received my watch on Monday but didn't inform me. She just dropped it in my pew. So, it's gorgeous and has a zed-folding continuous clasp, so it's certainly not going to fall off my wrist. The box had the original price. My reaction? Eeeeek! The description also says 7 diamonds and I'm starting to think that they're real!!!
There was a mini reception after honouring the volunteers. I'd managed to grab a mini quiche, an egg salad sandwich, two strawberries and a pineapple chunk when my driver showed up. He was really early. So I gobbled the food down and left. Always a good thing not to have to wait. When I got home, I relaxed for a tiny bit, watched the service (YouTube was working today), and did my review. My most strange review. When I was done before 7, my knee was screaming. ::whimpers::
I exchanged emails with Brian. Now he's looking for a nice place for brekkie on Saturday. I suggested the dining room of the fancy hotel I used to stay in. I also confirmed spending next Saturday with my chosen sisters and we booked out rides.
I finally got a chance to relax for a bit. Watched last night's SNL which I found totally boring. A real waste of time. Anyway, I'd better think about sleep as I'm off to my eye doc tomorrow. Manana.
