So, there's an official Family Day in most of Canada, observed the first Monday closest to Valentine's Day. But my chosen sisters and I have decided to have several sequels on the Saturdays of Easter and Thanksgiving weekends. Then RS spoke up today and said we should do it more often. Jan and I agreed. RS also mentioned a possible trip next year, one of the options being an Alaska cruise, with attendant care provided. She wants me to come with her as she's terrified of flying. Hmm. I think it would be a very nice holiday but I'd have to see the details (cost, ship, etc.) first.
I surprised myself by 1) not ordering chicken (had teriyaki shrimp stir fry), 2) not having a drink (just two pots of Earl Grey tea), and 3) skipping dessert. No, don't check for the pod under the bed. I just didn't feel like stuffing myself.
The only downer of the day was unpredictable rain, coming down in torrents when we were waiting to be picked up. I was happy to be home around 4, so I could relax. Anyway, I need to go to bed early to be all bright and bouncy for church. ::yawns extra-widely::
