Welcome reappearance of common sense.

Yes, I can haz it. So, we're about to have the destruction of the main floor of the house beginning on Monday. SuM and S. didn't know what to do and there was the matter of not only blind old me but also the cats. As I can't just get up and leave to camp at a friend's place (ha!), I suggested that the cats stay with me, nice and safe, during the day while the destruction happens. Now, if had been the previous threesome (with the delightful Diva), it wouldn't have been a problem. But, with the skittish Bast still having hissing fits with poor, old Grumpy, that seems to be a bad suggestion. So I disrupted S's packing by suggesting we have a talk on the back deck (it was lovely and breezy). I suggested I can handle the two older cats, but that Bast would most likely be much better off in the master bedroom, along with a bit of kitty Prozac. My suggestion was well received. It also turns out there's a cat=calming room spray that is very expensive, but S. thinks she'll buy it. Anyway, one potential disaster averted. Still seeking solutions for more problems.

I took it easy the rest of the day. Enjoyed my brekkie (General Tso's Chicken) around 7 p.m. along with a glass of Chardonnay. Watched my usual TV along with tonight's MasterChef. Also, nearly fell over when watching Peppa Pig as the show has finally entered the 21st century. One of her friends said she and her family were "glamping". I'd missed that word the first time I'd watched the mini-epi.

Anyway, I think it's time for oatmeal choc-chip cookies and some chilled water. And then off to bed.
