Aww, gosh. People are writing such nice things about me.

It must be "Praise Helenka" month. Well, at least that's what it felt like after today's meeting of the blind group. Along with the usual announcements, one of our members dressed up as Elvis (I couldn't really tell what she was wearing but there was a wide satin-like belt. She was demonstrating "clogging" and it was fun to listen to the heavier taps. Then one member walked around the room recording us as we recounted what our accomplishments were that might surprise most sighted people. We also had lots of different goodies. I figured that my dolmades had been used exclusively for the vegetarian plates. Our table was very lively - with my friend Janet and two other members of the Executive.

I was picked up after 1. In four hours' time, the temp had dropped. There had been a fine English mist in the morning. Now snow was forecasted to begin a midnight. I do not want to hear the "S" word again.

When I got home, I was delighted to see a message from that wascawy baby bro of mine saying we should get together soon for fun and planning our Niagara trip. We settled on March 14 and ribs. Yummy. I also got a bunch of RSVPs for blind group activities and all of hem were saying what a terrific job I was doing! Just wow.

Too bad I wasn't feeling terrific. I watched my shows but kept conking out during the judge ones. I can't wait for my midnight pills and hope they last. Not like this morning when I woke up at 4:33. Yuck. Anyway, time to put today and me to bed. ::giggles::
