I woke up at 5:33 a.m. Normally, that would put me in a mega grumpy mood. But, to the contrary, I've been beaming all day long, because I've had lovely crisp vision All. Day. Long! It's amazing to see how much of a difference it makes in the way I function and experience life around me.
I read, fielded several phone calls, did blind group stuff, and watched TV (including a zany The Rookie and a heartbreaking (but ultimately healing) Bull.
I'm also feeling more empowered. I checked out the average cost of a cab for Sundays and have decided I still want to be frugal and not resentful. So I'm going to keep my rides TO church, but return home by cab. It also means I can join my friends for brunch from time to time - aka have actual social interactions. So, yay me.
I also updated my iPad and played around with it. Alas, depending on whether I'm in Smart Invert or Classic Invert, some things work and others don't. Huh - it the device treating my library eBooks as a photograph in Smart? But I'm feeling more confident and adaptable today, so I'll deal.
Tomorrow I plan to research train travel with my walker. And, yes, the miracle today wasn't just the vision, it was the profound ABSENCE of pain!!!!! ::tosses imaginary beret in the air::
