Well, I spilled some on my capelet so had to throw it in the washing machine when we got home. Home from where? My first Dairy Queen visit to celebrate S.'s birthday today (for which I gave her the package of chocolate covered pretzels from the specialty shop in Niagara). We each ordered different small Blizzards: S had Skor bars, SuM had raspberry fudge (that sounded decadent); and I had Turtles. It was fun to get out of the house in the evening. Driving with the windows open created a cool breeze.
The rest of the day was more humdrum. I cleaned up my old Yahoo email and found a reply from Stephanie on June 2. This is really pathetic when I can't discern things. OTOH, due to some weird Firefox update, I am now able to see videos and pictures in FB Messenger! Really weird. I also emailed church-John, saying he could delay his "apothecary" visit until after July 11. I'd like to receive him when the house is empty.
Something that was not humdrum but concerning was S. finding Grumpy covered in blood first thing this morning. She took him to the vet. It turns out there were three distinctive puncture wounds on his forehead that had become infected and the blood had come from an abscess. The emergency vet was very caring and competent. And poor Grumpy. The culprit was Ce-Ce because Bast doesn't have front claws. So, unless she's a soccer or martial arts whiz, Ms. Ce-Ce done it.
Anyway, now that I'm feeling all loose and relaxed, I'm going to watch some TV. It's a good ending to a pleasantly placid summer's day.
