Yes, I'm talking about pain. It woke me up at 5:55. I tried to ignore it, but finally climbed out of bed at 6:35. The only benefit (?) is that I had decent sight that lasted nearly the entire day. So I placed my grocery order. Only took me 2.5 hours and I still forgot to order eggnog (so had to revise later in the day).
Exchanged goodies with SuM and S in the morning while I waiting for my meal delivery. I gave them the fancy cookies (which will come in handy as they're entertaining a lot) and they gave me a bottle of cranberry wine (!) from the bog they visited in the summer. I can't wait to try it.
While waiting, I was also very surprised to have a cat jump up on the sectional and get close to me. Well, imagine that. It was Bast who's finally becoming comfortable around me. Only took a couple of years, but better than no change. Grumpy must have been feeling stronger as he was back on his heated pad on the couch.
Unfortunately, the pain was far too persistent. I waited until around 5 to take more Robax and chased it down with two minced tarts and whipped cream. I think the tarts worked their magic more than the meds! Anyway, that was my official Christmas Eve supper as I then returned to bed to watch my daily programs and doze off occasionally.
I've been checking FB and seeing all my friends who've posted from the church service at Roy Thomson Hall. I'll get to see the webcast … eventually. But, in the meantime, it's time for meds and perhaps some cookies!
