I've had an odd day ... odder than usual. I spent most of it wondering in the abstract about what I was going to wear to the service tonight. I finally chose a mish-mash of wearing apparel. I'm wearing my lovely long black gown OVER my black nightgown. Hey, when I get home, I'm ready for bed, lol. I'd wanted to wear my Mary Janes on my feet but, as I'm just wearing socks, thought I should be practical, so I'm wearing my boots. Around my neck is the gold/black spider filigree scarf and over the gown is the black capelet I usually wear out. Hey, I have to give church-John something to do (as he usually picks blonde hairs off of it). And, speaking of hair, I wanted to wear either my faux leopard or real fox-trimmed hats. In the end I've decided to simply attach the curly scrunchy to my folded-over ponytail and go bare-headed. I've even foregone the hairspray as the volunteer coordinator is highly allergic.

Anyway, I'm just about ready to go out the door, but thought I'd post. Not so much about what I'm wearing (I'm NOT that bad), but to wish everyone celebrating a Happy or Merry and safe Christmas holiday. If this is not a part of your traditions (if you've already celebrated), then happy time off work and extra time for sleeping in. And, to those who will be hard at work in essential positions, thank you for your commitment. I hope there's extra time off for R&R when you've done your bit.
