I am so tired of being cold. I just had a two-hour nap, trying to get warm. ::notes icicles forming around ankles:: Didn't work.
But it should have. After all, Brian was over for dinner. We had cheddar scalloped 'taters baked in the oven, together with gherkins and stuffed olives. We tried to keep the conversation on to happy things (like my mixed-up eyedrops and TV shows) but I did get a titch emotional which really should not have surprised him. Hello? In crisis here. Anyway, he was let off the hook early, as he has a lot of driving to do tomorrow.
Earlier, I'd been surprised to receive a call from John who'd taken half a day off work and wanted to know if I was interested in going for a walk. Nope, nope, nope, nope. My excuse was Brian and being ... cold. I'd decided to splurge for the holiday and ordered groceries. Apparently, they are delivering them until lunchtime tomorrow. I invited John over for cheese fondue on Sunday (yes, I'm being eccentric), but he's not sure. Huh - fondue for one? Well, I'm sure it'll keep me warm.
Anyway, I think I'll go make myself a hot apple drink. And, then, bed. And wondering if I'm going to the service tomorrow (driven by my fave deacon) or staying home (alone, get it) and watching it on a live webcast. Ack! Decisions. Are so not my favourite thing. Although it is nice to have the choice of not going and still being able to share via my 'puter.
Shivering hugs,
Queen of the icicles (or just call me Snegorotchka, the Snow Queen)!
